How to Select Board ESP 8266 0n Arduino IDE
To download the Arduino IDE,
URL: https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Software.
Select your operating system and download the software .
Go to your Arduino IDE
1.Go to File
2. Open the preferences window from the Arduino IDE.
3. Enter http://arduino.esp8266.com/stable/package_esp8266com_index.json into Additional Board and press the “OK” button
4.Go to Tools => Board => Boards Manager
5.Search ESP8266 board and Install “esp8266 by ESP8266 Community”
After Installing Board
6. Go to Tools =>Board => NodeMCU 1.0 (ESP-12E Module) (select based on your board version)
