PIR Motion Detecting circuit without using Arduino Uno Microcontroller
Circuit Diagram
Components Required
1)PIR Sensor
2)Battery (4-5v)
3)Led
4)Buzzer
5)Two resistors (220 & 470 ohms)
6)NPN Transistor(BC 547)
220-ohm resistors connected in between sensor signal pin and base of BC547. The 470 ohms connected in between battery positive supply and positive of LED and Buzzer.
The Vcc of sensor given 4.5v from battery supply and ground of sensor connected to negative of battery supply
When PIR sensor detects motion within the range of sensor it sends a pulse through sensor signal pin that given to the baes of BC547 NPN transistor through 220 ohms resistor. when a signal is given to the base of the transistor the collector of the transistor shorts with the emitter of the transistor which is grounded. Hence the circuit gets completed led glows and the buzzer starts beeping.

What is a PIR sensor?
PIR or "Passive Infra-Red" sensor is a "Pyroelectric IR Sensor" which generates energy when exposed to heat. Everyone emits some low level of radiation, the warmer the thing is, the more radiation is emitted. When a human or an animal with an IR radiation wavelength of 9.4µMeter approaches the sensor's range the sensor detects the heat in the form of infrared radiation. The sensor only detects the energy emitted by other objects and does not produce any, that's why the sensor is named a PIR or "Passive Infra-Red" sensor. PIR sensors are small, cheap, low-power, and very easy to use.
The sensor in the figure above has two built-in potentiometers to adjust the delay time potentiometer at the left and the sensitivity potentiometer at the right as labeled.
Features & details
The principle used - the PIR (passive infra-red) device could be an electrical phenomenon device that detects motion by activity changes within the infrared (heat) levels emitted by encompassing objects
Operating voltage - 5v
Type - a digital device
Range - adjustable from few feet - up to 20feet
