Different Solar panel System for Home requirement save energy by using free solar energy.

On-Grid, Off-Grid, and Hybrid Solar System

Whenever we think of saving electricity or reducing the electricity bill of our house, then the name of solar system comes first. Because inside the solar system, we can use electricity for free throughout our life by investing a small amount of money.

But whenever we think of installing a solar system at home. So the first question that comes to our mind is, which solar system should we install at home because today there are 3 types of solar systems in the market.

So today, I will give you all the information related to these solar systems, and I will also tell you the advantages and disadvantages of them. With the help of which you can easily get the best solar system for your home. So let's, first of all, talk about the type of solar system we have.

Types of solar systems

There are three types of solar systems that are available in the market.

  1. On-Grid solar system
  2. Off-Grid solar system
  3. Hybrid solar system

Let me tell you already, in these three solar systems, no solar system is defective. These three solar systems are designed according to different needs.

Now we will talk about their need, their advantages and their disadvantages one by one.

What is on-grid solar?

The on-grid solar system is also known as Grid-Tied.

The on-grid solar system is the lowest cost among all solar systems. This solar system is connected with the electrical supplies coming into our homes. Batteries are not used inside this solar system.

Within the on-grid solar system, we can also transmit solar-generated electricity to the power grid.

How does an on-grid solar system work?

This system works quite easily. After applying it at home, if ever our solar panel is producing more power, and we are not able to fully utilize the power generated from it at home. So at this time, the power that goes into extras goes to the power grid.

In a way, we lend extra power to the power grid to the power company. After this, whenever our solar system generates less power, we can use the electricity given back to the power grid again. All this work is automatic.

On-grid system advantage and disadvantage

Advantages

1. On-grid solar system is the cheapest solar system.

2. It is much easier to install at home than the rest of the solar system, and its working is also much easier than the rest.

3. With the help of this, we can save a lot of electricity.

Disadvantage

It has only one disadvantage and is quite large. This solar system does not work when the home lights go out.

Meaning if the supply coming from the power grid in your house is disconnected, then at that time you will not be able to run any of the appliances in your house, because the on-grid solar system works only till the time the supply comes to the house.

What is an Off-grid solar system?

The off-grid solar system is the most commonly used solar system. It is used especially in places where there is a problem with frequent power electricity cut. And during that time we want to run our equipment. This is a bit expensive than the on-grid system in price, because, inside it, we also have to buy batteries.

How does an Off-Grid solar system work?

In the off-grid solar system, all the appliances in our house keep running with the help of solar panels during the day, and the extra electricity generated from the solar charges our solar battery.

After this, when the solar panels stop giving electricity in the evening, then our home appliances start running with the charged batteries.

And if our batteries are completely discharged at night, then household appliances start running from the supply coming from the power grid.

Advantage and disadvantage Off-grid system

Advantage

1. In this solar system, all our appliances start running on batteries when the electricity of the house is lost.

2. With the help of an off-grid system, where there is no supply of power grid, we can use 24 hours of electricity even there.

Disadvantage

1. It costs more than an on-grid solar system because the battery is used in it.

2. We have to maintain its battery periodically.

3. The average life of this solar battery is 5-7 years, so after that time we also have to charge the battery.

What is the hybrid solar system?

The hybrid solar system is the most advanced solar system yet. But currently, this solar system is put in very little space due to its price.

It is made up of both on-grid and off-grid solar systems.

How does a Hybrid Solar system work?

In the day-to-day hybrid solar system, all our household appliances run on electricity from the solar panel. With this, our battery is charged first with the extra power generated from the solar panel. And after the battery is fully charged, the extra power from the solar power is sent to the power grid.

The electricity going to the power grid always goes through the net metering meter. This meter tells us how much power we have lent to the power grid so far.

Hybrid system advantage and disadvantage

Advantage

1. Inside the hybrid solar system, we can run our home appliances in three ways. With solar panel, with battery, and with power grid supply.

2. With the help of this solar system, we can reduce our electricity bills.

3. In this solar system, like on-grid, we can also give power to the power grid.

Disadvantage

1. Hybrid solar systems are much more expensive than other solar systems.

2. In this too, the battery is used as an off-grid solar system, due to which the maintenance of the battery also comes in it.

3. Its installation is slightly more difficult than the rest of the solar system, but once set up it is said to be the best solar system.
