Components Required
- TP4056 1A Li-Ion Battery Charging Module
- 3.7V Li-Ion Battery
- 3.7V Led Strip
- Switch
- Wires
TP4056 1A Li-Ion Battery Charging Module
TP4056 1A Li-Ion Battery Charging module. It is a Micro USB with Current Protection.
It is perfect for charging single cell 3.7V of 1 Ah current or higher lithium-ion (Li-Ion) cells such as 16550s that don't have their own protection circuit.
The Module based on the TP4056 charger IC and DW01 battery protection IC.
When the battery voltage drops below 2.4 Volt the protection IC will switch the load off to protect the battery cell from running at low voltage and also protects against over-voltage and reverse polarity connection.
It will usually protect the battery cell by destroying itself instead of the battery.
Note- Please check you have it connected correctly the first time as per the circuit diagram.
Connection procedure to make rechargeable emergency light at home
- Connect micro USB cable for power or connect 5V DC to a pad marked IN+ and IN- on the Li-Ion Battery Charging Module.
- Connect Li-Ion Battery to charge to B+/B- pads. +ve of battery to B+ of module and -ve of battery to B- of module Li-Ion Battery Charging Module.
- At load connect button in series with Led strip to the OUT+/OUT- pads.
- Connect OUT+ of the module to one terminal of Switch and second terminal of the module to +ve of Led strip
- Connect OUT- to -ve of the led strip.
- Note that disconnect load when charging battery by using switch turning OFF.
- The red LED on the module indicates charging in progress and the green LED indicates charging has finished.
Note while doing
1. Do not connect voltage more than 5v.
2. For connections don't use too thick wire.
3. Make that the connection points are good.
4. NO Reverse polarity.
